This is the Aluminum shock strut I'm fabricating for the tail wheel
assembly.
I took the basic design off a Russian fighter. I'm also moving the tail wheel forward on the fuselage similar to the P-51 and P-40 type. I'll make some construction drawing soon. |
| I picked up this 10 inch wheel on sale for $10.00. It has a 400 lb
load capacity, but I feel its just two big so I'm ordering a 8 inch
wheel.
I want this type of tail wheel to allow for rough terrain use. The photo will make more sense when the unit is installed. |
